I usually make it a point to show you a motivational story on Mondays. I believe most of us dread Mondays—Monday blues. Today I will tell you the story of James Spurgin. In 2006, he was involved in a motorcycle accident that left him without the use of his right arm. He eventually embraced the sport of powerlifting and has totaled 1185 pounds, which is truly impressive by any standard.
He is a true champ. He has fought against all odds. My question to you is, if he can be physically active why can’t you? Now get up and get your ass moving. Don’t complain. Don’t give me those puny excuses. There are several training methods for the taking. For example, you can gym, swim, run, or perform yoga. Embrace any of it and reap the benefits. The only requirement is fighting against the devil, and the devil is YOU. This reminds of one of my favorite quote that hangs on my gym wall. Voltaire, the French author says, “Indolence is sweet, and its consequences bitter.” I hope you take home his message. Stay healthy and fit by being physically active.
