What do You Lack? Continued

The video suggests that it is a Thailand advertisement. Ha! If I knew the language I would have known the brand they were marketing. The take home message, however, is loud and clear. You need to have the motivation to grind it out and achieve the desired result. For example, if running 1 kilometer is not providing any benefit then run 2 kilometers or run faster. Likewise, if performing few rounds of high intensity interval training (HIIT) is not assisting you in losing fat then execute several rounds.

What I am suggesting to you is that on many occasions you just need to throw away the baggage you carry. I know that many of you read, read, and read a lot, for accessing information is easy. You just need to Google it! Perhaps, the text you read suggests that you should perform in the exact manner as it is stated in the book to derive the desired effect. Well, I am not stating that the authors are wrong. I am merely suggesting that at some instances what they state must not be taken at face value.

Look at the jumpers (Yemen) in the second video. Do you think that they are well read with the latest scientific finding in how to increase their vertical jump? No. They would have practiced jumping well. They don’t have any certified trainers to teach them. As Ross says, “If you want to run faster, you need to run. If you want to jump higher, you need to jump. If you want to punch harder, you need to punch. Working hard with the basics will often warrant the best results.”

So you see sometimes the best option you have is to just sweat it out. In other words, you need to have the desire to achieve.
