Look no further than this blog entry if you want to lose fat. I have shared several stories at the blog that were all related to losing fat. By the way, I am speaking about fat loss not weight loss. As you should know, ideally, you should lose fat but not weight from muscle loss. Of course, you will lose weight when you lose fat. But if you are engaged in lifting weights which is, by the way, one of the best means to lose fat when it is coupled with cardiovascular exercise, you will experience muscle growth resulting in weight gain, which by any standard is healthy. You will also see that you have gained some girth in your arms, legs, back, and chest, but, at the same time, lost fat in the much hated midsection. And who knows? If you are dedicated enough you may see a six pack. As fitness trainers, we assert that a weighing scale can be deceptive, but not your mirror. You will appreciate and feel good when you look better.
The benefits of weight training:
Physical performance: Lifting weights will improve your physical performance. In addition, functional training which we perform at Ironcult has a direct carry-over effect in improving your performance in your day-to-day life.
Metabolic efficiency: Adding muscle mass burns more calories and fat. Your basal metabolic rate is increased.
Decreased risk of injury: Adding muscle tissue will strengthen the joints and increase your stability. It will also help to strengthen your bones.
More energy: By adapting to a higher demand of work at the gym, ordinary things in everyday life seems easy to execute.
Decreased blood pressure: Strength training makes your heart stronger, and a stronger heart can pump more blood with less effort, which results in decreased pressure on arteries, thereby, lowering your blood pressure.
Decreases risk of diabetes: Exercise forces your muscles to burn blood sugar more efficiently. It also helps in increasing your insulin sensitivity.
Elevated Mood: Exercise releases endorphins, which results in elevated mood.
Improves your immune system: Your body’s immune system becomes more effective when you exercise. You get a boost in the formation of macrophages, the cells that attack bacteria, so any infection will be healed faster.
Watch this video and look at the transformation of the man. I am truly shocked. Do not miss this one.
